Amaryllis and Akakin

This wintery pair can come off a bit cold at first due to how shy they are. Amaryllis is more shy than Akakin, but she's often the one to warm up to someone first. Akakin comes around later, but he makes sure he can trust someone before letting his guard down. In this way, he's learned to be content with being on his own or just with Amaryllis. However, those who do manage to become close with these dergs are well aware of how warm and kind they are.

Offspring from this pair are often very warm, inviting and kind but it takes a little work to get there with them. They often don't mind being alone but if a derg is really trying their best to become friends with them, they don't take the effort for granted. They may come off as shy, but they really are just making sure they can trust other dergs before getting close to them.
