Biography
CROTA
the son of Oryx
You are Crota, my son. Welcome.
I fought my way out of hell to make you.
Your life will be a battle too.
Crota has a lot to live up to, as the son of the King.
He grew up resenting his parent, for Auryx would punish him greatly for any mistake, and demanded only perfection. He never received any kindness or sympathy in times of injury or sickness, which is common as such is the way of life in the Plague-lands. He grew up fighting arbiters and their sect, and his own aunt Savathun, for they all wished to test his worth (in many certainly fatal ways).
As time went on, Crota became strong where others would have broken, and came to understand the beauty of the Logic, and his relationship with Auryx turned into that of respect.
Your life will be a battle too.
You will have to win your place at the High War.
I will give you nothing...
except this, your first sword,
and this name I have prepared for you.
He has now rightfully earned his place as Prince of the Hive. His weapon of choice is still the first sword his father gave him. Crota also emits plague from his very body, the culmination of all that he has weathered - concentrated, fused, and weaponised via magics stolen from his aunt's research. Simply being around him would cause weaker dragons to fall, and stronger dragons to fall sick with various diseases.
He has chosen his mate, Omnigul the warlock, and his brood will continue his father's legacy.
Thus I name you Crota, Eater of Hope.
Let’s go meet your aunts and uncles.
