Paladin

- was created to be an ambassador to other flights when tensions started to get high
- very close w/ Raijin since they were similar in personality; neither really cared about being worshipped and just wanted to serve the people
- she was, at first, a just knight. dragons of all flights could invoke her help and she would help them as best she could
- Yiling didn't like this bc now all of her food was gone and she didn't have Ahren anymore, making her powerless; so she did what any good war god would -- corrupted Paladin
- since Paladin was a Deity, the effect was temporary but it still resulted in several casualties that sparked outrage in the Arcane Flight's neighbors, Plague especially
- the Arcanist cast Paladin down to live as a mortal and endure the war she had created
- Raijin disguised himself as a farmer and gave her shelter;
- she would eventually lose her life defending her village from a raid; Raijin went to Death's Helm and bartered with Corvus for her soul (gave away some of his soul as payment)
- Arcanist was like 'alright she can come back but is now an omen of death'
