Vlad

"Seek me out and I will break you."

The clan first encountered Vlad deep in the Arena. His strength was unmatched as all fell before him. It was the clan leader, Becrux who foolishly challenged his might. Becrux's calculated blows became more frantic and impulsive once he realized that he couldn't read his opponent. Vlad moved with the swiftness of a panther and struck with the precision of a viper. The seasoned warrior snickered as Becrux fell before him.

"Come back once you are done playing alpha. Maybe then I'll show you the true path of a warrior."

After that, Vlad was left alone for quite some time. His life became monotonous, it was rare for him to be sought out by new rivals. All the existing ones had run back to their clan with their tail wedged between their legs.

Then, once again, Becrux showed up. The red mirror's eyes were burning with passion. He was here for a good fight. Vlad showed no mercy. Becrux only lasted a few minutes before Vlad nearly crushed him under his weight. Yet somehow, the small mirror was determined. Vlad knocked him unconscious and left him with a note.

"By the next Riot of Rot, come find me, and I will break you."

Amused with himself, Vlad passed the days covering up his trail and hunting on the down-low. If this warrior was so determined to beat him, he'd have to force Becrux to learn how to think like his opponent. It became a game of cat and mouse for the two of them, until a few days before the holiday. Vlad camped close to Becrux's campsite, plotting a surprise appearance. He could no longer deny that he enjoyed the persistence of this other dragon, he had never met someone like him before.

Their final battle ended with Becrux landing a single blow before being knocked out cold. It was then that Vlad realized he had never wanted to become a mentor until now. Vlad was named a Sanguine and joined the clan as Becrux's tactician and personal mentor.

As a once solo warrior of the wilderness, Vlad was well acquainted with all the wildlife found near the coliseum grounds. On his journey to becoming an established warrior, he was taught that to study his opponent. Through years of hunting for food, he studied the beasts around him, learning their secrets. Knowledge of their various migration patterns, diets, and even mating rituals has always been easy to recall for him. In a way, he had 'studied' the wildebeests as he studied his opponents. The wild game rarely put up without a fight.

Once he had retired his title as a Sanguine, he dedicated his spare time to collecting a plethora of beasts to his personal hoard. As shocking as it was to his clanmates, Vlad proved to be a nurturing protector of his precious familiars. Seeing his strength in understand wildlife, he was named honorary beastmaster of the clan.

When he's in a good mood in the morning, he'll join the squad of hunters on their daily gatherings but most of his time is spent caring for the numbers of familiars he's acquired.
