Months spent alone inside this tower
Solitary
Princess of a broken kingdom
Seventy-three
Floors made of stone and iron trapping
Lonely old me
Waiting for someone brave to come here

Seventy-three
Heroes that tried to liberate me
All gave defeat
That might explain why tears are falling



And then from at the gates
I hear him calling calling
"My princess don't despair
A hero's come to free you"

His eyes bleed hard with hope
As I wave smiling smiling
I clutch my chest and cry
"My hero, save me won't you"


My heart is pounding breathless
To know a hero is on the way

My knight in shining armor
Whose courage pushes the dark a-

Minutes that I've been watching him climb
Only for me
That fact alone is motivation
But it can't be
He took a blow against the dragon
He's bleeding free
Just counting time until he weakens

Heroes like he that fell before him
Can't bear to see
That might explain why tears are falling


But then I hear his voice
He's even laughing laughing
"Don't worry Princess
Such a scratch could never stop me"

He's rushing up the stairs
His armor ringing ringing
Its sound is like a bell
That sets my soul afire


My heart is pounding breathless
To know a hero is on the way

But then I see him stumble
Onto the trap that marks his (end)

I touch my tear-stained window
And whisper thank you my dearest
(FRIEND...!??!)


My face is flush with fear
He somehow made it made it
He's gotten past my traps
The monsters that I gathered

He'll soon have gotten here
And then he'll realize it
The princess he so loves
Is really an illusion

He's banging at the door
He doesn't get it get it
That if I'm rescued then
I'll lose what makes me special

So I unsheathe my claws
And gently pull my mask off
The door swings open and my
Breath of fire fills the
