Biography

Stellara || The Transdragonist
The abyss evolves.
___________________________________________________________________________________

Born with the cosmos in her eyes and etched into her scales, Stellara's lust for knowledge is ever-expanding, much like the universe. Stories of the Arcanist's work delighted her as a hatchling. Her idea of play was fervent study and reenactments of the Ages. Those more skeptic of her obsession warned her of what the Arcanist had brought upon Sornieth. She paid them no mind, however. His actions pushed the boundaries of what was possible and made a discernible change in the world. Where others saw failure, she saw progress - and the chance to do things better.

As an adult, Stellara remained in the Starfall Isles. She sought out apprenticeships with the most revered scholars and built up her reputation as an academic. While considerably well-rounded, it was not difficult to predict what she specialized in. It was not long before she was considered one of the experts in the fields pertaining to The Arcanist, Arcane magic, and the Shade. Mirroring her childhood, some other scholars became concerned with her intense interest in such these topics and feared that she would attempt to follow in the Arcanist's footsteps on a smaller scale. The controversy grew, and before long, Stellara was regarded not as an intellectual, but an unhinged individual on the verge of inviting destruction to Sornieth.

She was banned from most reputable scholarly circles and forced to leave the Isles due to harassment. With nowhere else to turn, Stellara sought out Setcreasea, known for his work studying the deities before leaving the Isles to reside in the cult clan known as Purgatory. He begrudgingly took her in, and she assisted him with his work looking into the possibilities of uniting the deities into one entity. Their research prompted an entirely new burning question in her mind, however:

Why fight the Shade when all of dragonkind could become one with it and prosper? In her mind, it was the next step for Sornieth - the obvious solution that no one had thought of. The destroying of the lands and individuality was of no consequence to her. If her time in the Scarred Wasteland taught her anything, it was that destruction inspired new strength and new opportunities.

When Stellara proposed her new theory to Setcreasea, however, he laughed her off and called it impossible. Angry, she questioned how he could think her work impossible when he was attempting to alchemize deities into one entity. He responded that he did not care much if his work was successful - only that Purgatory protected him and granted him the opportunity to be in proximity to Lusolth. Furious that he would dedicate himself to work he did not believe in, the two fought and Stellara left the clan in a huff.

The stars in her eyes and scales will melt and meld with thousands of other dragons into the darkness of the Shade. Their hearts will flutter, maws will snap, and claws will rend light all as one. Dragonkind would rather die in an unwinnable fight than to feel that power and live forever. It is destiny, yet all reject it.

She, at least, finds comfort in the fact that progress is inevitable.
