JOB DESCRIPTION
(out of date) Caleb spends his days assisting Ayida with caring for the hatchlings of the clan, helping her to contain them and keep them safe. While one may think it difficult for a blind dragon to help with caring for the sometimes rambunctious hatchlings, the Fae seems to have another sense when it comes to them, often stopping a fight or an attempted "escape" just as it's occuring. Also a member of the clan's council, Caleb often remains silent through the council's bi-monthly meetings, though when he chooses to offer his thoughts on a subject, others fall quiet to allow his soft voice to be heard; his words are often insightful, and no one wishes to interrupt.

PERSONALITY
Blind from hatching, Caleb is a quiet dragon, often opting to run his small claws gently over newly met dragons' faces so as to get a "look" at them. He stays nearly glued to his mate's side, otherwise, and lets her do all of the talking. It's not that he's particularly shy, he just finds that Ayida is better at articulating points that he agrees with; though, if he happens to not agree with something she's saying, he is sure to let others know.

EARLY LIFE
Caleb was brought to the clan by Ayida, who had found the young Fae near-death during her wanderings as a young Snapper. The Fae doesn't remember-or, just as likely, doesn't wish to speak of-what happened to him, but whatever it was left him in rather bad shape. To this day his body is covered in bandages to both hide and hold together the somewhat mangled state of his small form. His Serthis, Cass, was with him when Ayida found him, in bad shape herself, but nonetheless wrapped around the Fae in an attempt to protect him from any further harm. While no one has asked either of them, not wishing to pry into what is obviously a delicate subject, it is thought that perhaps Caleb was attacked by a wandering sect of Serthis, and Cass took pity on the small, blind dragon, earning her the ire of her tribemates. The two are incredibly close now, and the Serthis is still quite protective over the now grown Fae, rarely leaving his side.
