JOB DESCRIPTION
(out of date) When nests are hatched in the Clan, the parents always have a decision to make: to either keep and raise one or more of the hatchlings, or to release any claim to them and allow them to be sent to another clan (or, if they stay in the clan long enough to make the decision, to leave to join the Glademother's ranks). Occasionally, the Clanmother will make this decision for them, but no matter what, if the hatchlings will not be staying, they are sent to Ayida (and Caleb) to be taken care of until they leave the clan, however that may be. While she often has her hands full, even with her mate's (and, recently, a few other dragons') help, Ayida greatly enjoys taking care of the little ones. She finds it difficult to not grow attached, but, while she is always a little sad to see them go, it is always a happy thing when a young dragon goes off to find their place in the world, whether that's with another clan, or with the Gladekeeper. Ayida also serves as one of the Clanmother's advisors, serving on the clan's council. Often the voice of reason, Amina often looks to the Snapper to dish out some of her brutal honesty when it comes to matters of the clan. Ayida isn't afraid to tell the clan matriarch exactly what she's thinking, and while some may feel nervous to watch her speak in such a way to the much larger leader, Amina finds it refreshing, and greatly appreciates Ayida's candor.

PERSONALITY
(out of date-ish) Ayida is very much a "tell it like it is" sort of dragon; if you need someone to be honest with you for your own good, she's the one that you go to. She is also an incredibly maternal dragon, and has taken many a drake under her wing. Amina is the Lairmother, but Ayida is the one that is sought after when you're in need of some motherly attention.

EARLY LIFE
Ayida arrived at the clan as an adoloscent, already half grown and searching for help and a place to rest. On her back rested the small, battered Fae that would later become her mate. She had set off on her own from her birthclan, and had found life on her own all a bit different than she'd thought, when she had stumbled across Caleb's injured form. Taking it upon herself to help the hurt Fae, but unable to by herself, she had traveled for days, just barely helping to keep him alive as she pushed forward. After being turned away by a few clans, and traversing through miles of unclaimed territory, she finally came across Clan Bristlecone. It was here that she was finally able to find the Fae the help that he needed, and, in time, a place for both of them to call home.
