Uh-oh, looks like this vengeful searcher wandered a little too far from her home lair (547158, TruthseekerSky6), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

I will have my revenge.

Once, Amoxtli had a family.

Once, she lived in an actual lair—an Arcane lair in the Starfall Isles. Once, she had a doting mother, a caring father, uncountable siblings who all played with and had fun with her. Once, she had all she could ask for, and nothing else. It was perfect for a hatchling like her; her home was an idyllic place with nothing to ever worry about.

Then it (Amoxtli refused to call the dragon anything but it) destroyed all of it, her home, her parents, her siblings—

There was nothing left but ash.

Amoxtli had been playing with a friend of hers that day; she had been at their house, the only reason she had been spared.

When she returned home, only charred remains were left of her lair... and her family.

There was also something else: a polished stone with a rune carved on it, a rune matching none of the Flights. It wasn’t Beastclan either. It was something entirely new—it was a bird of some sort... an eagle, perhaps.

And on that day, as she stood in the black dust clutching the tone so tightly her knuckles when white, she vowed to find her family’s murderer... and kill it.

Now Amoxtli wanders the lands of Sornieth without allegiance or flight, seeking clues and leads, searching for it. She carries the runestone with her; she keeps it as a reminder. She can never forget her family. She can’t, or she will lose herself—and the killer.

Searched the Shifting Expanse this month. Found a clan that took me in; they were friendly enough. I told them I was a traveler—at least that was a half-truth—and showed them the rune, asking if they recognized it; none of them did, although the clan leader told me to look for a dragon named Xerxes, since he might know what the rune was.

Xerxes is, or was, a Ridgeback who “hears” the Stormcatcher tell him things... things rumored to be world-shattering. I asked around the Expanse, and unfortunately, it turned out just about everyone thought he was desert-addled—years ago, they told me, he spent a little too long in the desert, and it changed the way he thought and perceived things. One dragon told me they had seen Xerxes about two days back, flying away from the Expanse, so it was likely he could no longer be found here.

At least I have a lead now... if a sun-addled dragon can be considered such. I have to find it... I have to I have to I have to. I must avenge my family.

I just bid farewell to the clan I stayed with. They said I was welcome back anytime, and gave me provisions. It is good to see such selflessness, out in this twisted world...

After leaving the generous clan I was on the look for a lead of any wind. If the rune's symbol is a bird than maybe those in the Wind's domain may know of its origin. As I was traveling I managed to somehow get swept up in a powerful wind current which landed me in the boggy place of the Driftwood Drag. A friendly shy dragon named Chester pulled me from a tree. He explained to me where I was and invited me to stay in his local town. The clan was called the Driftwood Criers. A very Victorian town which is full of mysterious tricksters who hold helping hands. While staying in the end no one was able to give me any leads. The only advice I was given is that when traveling to the windy area go on foot. I am off once again after a short stay.

While on her journey Amoxli finds a strange Guardian & Wildclaw travelling together, suspicious of you ask her! She decides to keep an eye on the two while she travelled. She watched them for quite some time before they started to ‘separate’ from one another. Very strange! They were thick as theives for months and now they separate ways!? Super suspicious! She flies into the air and screeches at them from afar but they don’t seem to hear her? So she screeches louder! Upon getting closer the Guardian stops mid conversation and looks up at her then the Wildclaw seems to catch on and screams quite shrilly. Maybe she was wrong to assume they were anything but normal? So she tries to slow herself down but she ends up slamming into the Wildclaw so she gets up quickly to apologize and see if he’s okay but all that comes out is ‘ARE YOU SORRY??’ She feels super awkward now..it doesn’t help that the Wildclaw apologizes for himself even though it was her!
