______ Of course the Coatl lived a normal life until he met Yoriku. The female Coatl actually made him fall in love, she was the first crush he ever had. One day, he decided to leave his clan with the traveling merchant. It turned out she lived in a clan in the Scarred Wastelands with family and friends. Koru seemed to get along well with the rest of the Clan, at least he thought he did until he stumbled into a meeting between some of the higher ranking members. He didn’t understand anything they said, but Yoriku told him that because he found the meeting, they had to leave her Clan. Together, they headed towards the nature clans due to some rumors Koru heard about a safe haven for all dragons there. When they arrived, Koru seemed to fit right in, although Yoriku was distant. Together, they became mates and had three kids. Yoriku talked to each of them individually about something she said Koru wouldn’t understand, and two of them decide to leave the Clan. However, one child stayed, and his name was Amane. As a couple, they decide to raise this one child, who became a healer. They lived together in peace, and Koru never found out that his partner was a murderer and an assassin.

______ When his eyes met hers in the marketplace on a warm sunny day, he fell in love. Koru had been out at the market to find food and see if there were any interesting things the venders were selling. Most had trinkets but he was looking for something more interesting than that. Still, when he saw the red and black Coatl with her red eyes in the crowd, they locked eyes and he couldn’t shake her out of his head for the rest of the day. Eventually, he decided to talk to her. After a while, they actually became friends, and when they went out together for the first time, they went to Koru’s favorite restaurant and shared their meals. “That was really fun,” Yoriku said as she and a Koru walked together after leaving. They twined tails and paused, staring into each other’s eyes like they and the first day they met, and then Yoriku gently pressed her head against Koru’s fluffy neck. He was surprised, but felt happy as he leaned over and placed his head on her head. Together, under the stars, they were happy.
