Surge, much like Windguide, was born purely of his element. Progenitors. Their sole purpose was to create a clan and aid their deity. But something felt off about Windguide. But he decided it must of been a side affect of love.

He and Windguide formed a family unit. Knowing their ultimate destiny but Windguide didn’t want to rush it. Wanting to raise all their kids first. But fate would not let them, and the clan came to them in due time.

While their eggs were just newly laid, Surge went out to hunt. In the sands alone was an abandoned egg much alike his own. With his progenitor-given need to protect, he could not bare to leave the egg alone.

He brought the egg home but before Windguide could convince him to go find it’s parents, the egg began to hatch. Born of it was a mirror dragoness. Without much debate, they named her Charm. For her ability to charm her way out of trouble.

But the distractions didn’t work. Surge was filled with stress and fury. He wanted to obliterate all of the shade. But then one day he returned to see their cave filled with darkness. The shade like a web trapped his children and wife within. In a panic he rushed right into it, combating the shade with no care for if it killed him.

He and Windguide managed to defeat it together. Fearful that each other would be shade touched, but it never came. They were unscathed.

Surge later found a water egg admist the chaos of tidelord’s disappearance. He brought it home to a very disgruntled momma windguide. After which, Surge became a stay at home father.

“Hey there! You know, my kids are looking to leave home. But i’d rather them not leave here alone, not that i don’t trust them to survive… just that fatherly instinct i guess. So if you’re interested in a new clan mate, i can show you to them. Maybe you’ll walk outta here one dragon extra”
