Midnight

Midnight is an artist like his father.
He is likewise a very withdrawn and timid soul, with a gentleness all his own. Though he doesn't share his dislike of spirit communication with his dad, he is more fond of creatures and familiars regardless if they are living or, with other familiars, not so much living.

Midnight tends to see the beauty in things more easily than others, and likes to think that though he isn't the best artist, he can capture that beauty.
Though his sister Violet is more into ghosts and being social, he gets along with her well enough, and she even inspires some of his art, by bringing him interesting objects and natural things. Though his younger brother Plum always seems to try to ruffle his scales, Midnight knows better than to take offence. After all, science and tinkering with mechanical things is an art of it's own.

Midnight always carries his sketchbook with him wherever he goes, just incase he sees something that he'd like to sketch. He enjoys hanging around with his family, mainly his father's studio, where he borrows supplies all the time, and greets Gris at the entrance.
Sometimes he participates in the collaborative projects with his dad, and they produce some of the most interesting and gorgeous art pieces together. They are the ones responsible for the art strewn about the lair, and of course the portraits of the clan's royal members.

Midnight is a quiet but charming young gentleman dragon, seemingly without any sort of irritability or oppositions whatsoever. That isn't to say he is a perfect specimen. Midnight has his flaws. He can be obsessive about some of his art, and even channels the spirits of long dead artists into works he cannot have possibly accomplished on his own. Besides his willingness to become possessed, and his obsessions, (mainly with charcoal) he can also be withdrawn. He's not so much afraid of others, as he is uncomfortable with civil interactions with multiple parties. A sweet introverted guy, he is most comfortable when there is the calm which comes with meeting someone one-to-one privately. Still, as charming and kind as he is, he does get his share of admirers, which can embarrass him greatly.

You see, Midnight fears taking one's hand in marriage. Being possessed by a number of heartbroken ghosts, he understands how love can hurt, and he doesn't know if he can commit to such a bond like he does with his art. In this manner, he makes for quite a sorrowful soul to court and seek favor from. But as alone as he can sometimes feel, he always returns to the love his family has for him.

Interestingly enough, Midnight is allergic to tree nuts, and as a result, all of his meals are specially prepared without nuts or seeds.
