HER STORY

One lonely night, a fae hatchling emerged from her egg home. It was cold and gloomy in the Shadowlands and she was all by herself. With no one to turn to, she crawled back in her shell and waited... no one ever came. With no one to explain the world to her, she had to take things into her own claws. It turns out exploring the world was scarier than she could have ever imagined. She found out plants taste bad and bugs taste good and that there are things out there that want to eat YOU. Her favourite thing were glowing mushrooms on the walls of a nearby cave. For a couple of months she stayed near her eggshell, during her first few nights she even slept in it, but she grew out of it pretty quickly. One day, while she was scouring for food, a big fluffy thing landed next to her. It was a dragon. A gorgeous white and red dragon. He introduced himself as Jura and asked what her name was. A name... She didn't need one until now, no one gave her one at birth, she didn't know what to say and just stared at him. He was confused, but just accepted that maybe she doesn't have one, or just doesn't want to tell him. He told her that his favourite thing to do is look at glowing mushrooms in the night, and admitted he noticed her not a long time ago, while she was admiring some a patch of glowshrooms nearby. As soon as he mentioned the mushrooms, her eyes widened with excitement. She shot up in the air and called him to follow. The lost little dragon lead her first friend to her favourite place, the Glowshroom cave as she called it. He was mesmerised, they stayed in the cave for hours just looking up at the shrooms instead of the stars. They talked for hours, he was an educated dragon. At first he was lost as well, but he was found by a scholar who taught him everything he knew about the world. After some time he decided to leave and have a life of his own. The fae had an idea, maybe he could give her a name that suits her, she admitted to having no name and asked what he thought would be a good one for her. "Theia" he answered, like the goddes of light. She thought it was funny that he would name her after a goddess of light, as she lived in the shadows her whole life, but she accepted it. Theia it was. That day marked a beginning of a wonderful friendship, which grew into love. They decided to make the cave their home and found a clan named "Lampros Mykes". A few years passed and the most frightening thing of all came to be. Jura had to leave. His time had come to serve the Shadowbinder and he had to abide. They said their goodbyes and he left quickly. Theia was devastated. The clan slowly fell apart, as all their children left to serve as well. She was all alone again. The only things she had in her posession were earrings (a gift from Jura) and her eggshell, which she carried around in a satchel around her waist. As time passed, some dragons joined her in her broken lair, they were broken as well and found comfort in the company and shelter. Nevertheless, times were difficult and she no longer had the will to live amongst others. She thought it would be best if she were alone, so most of her days were spent tumbling through the Shadowlands with no purpose. One day during her daily tumblings, she met a coatl named Gospodja. Theia was struck by her poise and confidence. A thought formed in her small head. What if this wonder of a dragon could help her. She told her everything, the coatl seemed to feel for her and offered to help. As months passed the clan grew and became better than ever. Their hoard was full of treasures and food, the cave they lived in was beautifully decorated and, most importantly, every dragon was content and happy. Including Theia, with time and the help of her clan, she recovered and accepted the events of the past. Now she enjoys dinner in the moonlight with her friends and taking care of the younglings. Theia passed the matriarch title to Gospodja and continues to be known as The Founder.
