The below text was written by his original owner. I liked Kardif so much that I bought him to keep him exactly as is. Hopefully we can find him a nice mate someday.

Familiar Caretaker
Kardif works under Eirogyne. He is not as dedicated to cleanliness as she is, but he tries his hardest to make her happy. He usually restocks and feeds the lighting bugs in the corridors, and treats them like his friends. He sings to them, and they recognize his voice.
Some of the older, grumpier dragons complain about how the bugs seem to glow brighter for Kardif, and Kardif alone. The truth is, the bugs don’t try as hard for the dragons who don’t treat them well; there are few dragons who get their full effort.
More recently, Kardif has expanded his horizons and befriended more than just bugs; in fact, he has befriended every familiar in the lair. He ensures they are all well fed and uninjured, as well as happy and generally comfortable. Kardif assigns familiars to newcomers and shuffles the creatures around to ensure that all familiar bonds are mutually enjoyable.
He is the in-between for the dragons and the centaur clan living together in the lair
