Amata

Amata is the first to hatch of Raln and Leera's second clutch. A bohemian spirited young princess, Amata knows keenly why her relationship with Seavon has been distant from the day she hatched as she and her brothers enter their adolescence.

Amata never wanted what she has been born into, a ruling line and a tense relationship with an older brother that she just wants to love. Seeking a moment's peace and maybe a private spot for a hot-teared cry, she met a male dressed mostly in white. A Plague lander who had left a Wind clan and was traveling toward Light, he said. As a young lady who had never left the bounds of her own clan, Amata was fascinated to hear his stories as they walked her clan's Outer Lands.

With Flurff even seeming to like the stranger, Amata finds herself quite taken with the older dragon and maybe feeling something strange and new.

These are desperate times for a hunted female. With the loss of her father and her mother declaring herself Amata's "regent," the young queen knows her life is in danger from the sorcerer Orok working for her mother Leera. To hide herself, she put aside the bohemian dress and accents that most would know her in and hides herself in jackalope skin and a far more elegant dress and jewelry as she moves amongst the Outer Landers in the territory between the clan that should by right of blood be hers and the Clan of Rakeshi.

As Amata finds herself drifting away from Latte and toward a newcomer to the Outer Lands, Alyon, son of Halley. But some would say that Fire-born like her or not, Alyon is far too young for her.

Careful trips back into Clan territory and plans are in the making, as Amata gathers who is still on her side and who is leaning toward her mother. The time has come as the Starfall Celebration ends and Amata taps the backing of the ambassadors from other Flights and the great warriors of her home clan.

To succeed in taking her hatch-right back, Amata will need the warriors, the representatives, and the mages of her clan to side with her and not Leera. And she's starting with a certain wholly untrustworthy Skydancer sorcerer, Orok.

Now as the dust has settled from the great battle between Fire and Light, Amata has re-taken her hatch-right, and merged the Clan of Amata with the Outer Landers. With her great-grandmother Chocofraxis and mysterious sage Mariwen, Amata has been crowned Queen of the Clan of Amata, the Clan of Raln, the Clan of Auriela, the Clan of Chocofraxis.
