Chocofraxis

Chocofraxis' clan began when she met her charge amidst her wander of the Ashfall Wastes. Tieras, a tiny male Fae who seemed very confused to be a dragon at all, much less a small one. She knew immediately this dragon was her Charge, and maybe a mate.

Choco and Tieras built their clan slowly, having two daughters together, Minuet and Florianne. Florianne turned away from the mate she and Minnie brought home and children to become Exalted and serve the Flamecaller. Choco's second set of children, first son Learan and daughter Sorna were sired by Shinedagger, a male Pearlcatcher who joined them from the allied clan of PenguinBall in search of a new lair.

And the clan has continued to grow, with Chocofraxis taking in wanderers who agree with her clothing optional life aesthetic. Arelon followed her Fae daughters home and is now Minuet's mate and father of her first grand-eggs. Bauble she found as a baby on the Search. While he still seeks his Charge, he lives in the clan and is a big brother to Sorna and Learan.

Shinedagger found Whimshadow as a lost baby on the Emberglow and brought her in, where the three adults raised the Pearlcatcher together. Now as she has fully grown to maturity, Choco had hoped she'd be a mate for one of her sons, but has vaulted Whim's things and her river flight in anticipation of the younger female coming back after her consort with Khalixto.

In rapid succession, the clan gained a flock of Skydancers. Lone wanderer from Light Dexter, and her adopted baby Beshawni. Choco brought home the lone and hungry pair after hearing Beshawni's cries. Next to join was Alizeh, a young still adolescent Skydancer who was smitten with Dexter the moment he saw her.

The last person Chocofraxis has most recently added to the eclectic clan is Aerya, an old beautiful Pearlcatcher who had traveled from the Icefields. Chocofraxis has been coming to realize that listening when Aerya speaks about any of the regions or Sornieth itself is a good thing, because the wise old woman knows things.

With her son Learan Exalted to serve the goddess, and Sorna a grown adult and establishing herself as a fighter in the clan, Chocofraxis sought to make big changes to the next phase of her life and maybe her next clutch. At great price, discussion with her beloved daughters Sorna and Minuet, and discussing safe plants to eat with Shine, Whim, Aerya and Nantais, Chocofraxis sought out the magicks to change her nature and form.

She found it, and changed form and breed into a Pearlcatcher, losing the push of the Charge for good. Making a small pile, of scales from Sorna, Minuet, Flori II, and Arela, mixed with a single coin of the treasure Flori and Learan left behind when they went to serve the Flamecaller, Choco started with gusto into making a pearl.

The small collection of Pearlcatchers in the clan so far approve of her efforts, even if it's a little not perfectly round.

For historical sake, Choco has stored a painting of her before she changed her form.

Now the clan is growing, as the pair of goose-witted but still her goose-witted Spirals have had three babies, and her once-mate Tieras had three new babies with Mystena. The clan is growing and Chocofraxis as leader of it, has made the choice to move the whole band of them onto the Molten Scar where the clan can continue to grow in numbers and status.

As the clan settled on the Molten Scar, Chocofraxis lay down to hibernate, letting her daughter Auriela take the rule of the clan after Sorna refused it and kept to her status as virgin priestess. Because a clan leader must be willing to have heirs.

Choco has slept for months, in a chamber with her mate Shinedagger and her fellow founder and past Charge Tieras. Now she has awakened as her daughter has lead to their new honor and great glory as an Ancient Lair able to hold 100 dragons, standing on the Great Furnace near the very forges of the Flamecaller. Though she doesn't necessarily like that Theo is gone, he's gone to serve the goddess and that is to be admired.

She's surprised by Bauble and Lishara's absence and Exalting, but likes the daughter left behind Trinket, even if she momentarily believed Trinket was her grandchild by Sorna. And is greatly pleased by the formidable warrior trio made by Cata's three children and the glory they bring the clan, fighting in realms Chocofraxis never reached in her Guardian youth.

Though awake, Chocofraxis and Shinedagger are leaving the leadership of the clan to Auriela and her new protector Aaron. She's a bit disappointed to see only one new grandchild since she went into hibernation. Or is Kifo new? She's getting old and she's not sure. But Auri needs to be getting to finding a consort.
