The fire's child was born to the rolling road, of the many paths taken by the Conflagrant Caravan. He had no one place to call home, but he was always looked after. When he tired, his father would carry him or let him ride on the storage cart. When he was hurt, his mother would care for his wounds and sing to him.
The Conflagrant Caravan was a clan of delights and wonder, and he grew up seeing all of it; smelling the warm cinnamon of baked potash peaches and taking in the fiery dancers of the carnival. He was especially blessed, his clan always said. The Flamecaller had seen fit to give him her eyes. When he was young- too young to remember- his fortune was read. He was to be a dragon adrift- he would rarely settle, but with this change and mutability came so many chances and adventures. They all knew there would be a time when he would leave the caravan, but he would never stop adventuring. He would always have trouble staying in one place.
The time came quickly, and he was bid farewell after a home-cooked banquet, sent on his way with a lucky runestone and some food. With fiery banners fading into the distance, he journeyed on to a new life.
