Namiko swears he was born in to the wrong flight, because his love for the water almost surpasses his love for anything else. He has a mighty desire to head to Frigid Floes whenever he can since the surf there has been picking up lately. The ice that falls apart from the land (because of those pesky Fire kids!) make for a great board, and most times, he can find one that's just the right size for his little body.

After hitting the surf, Namiko routinely stops to get some fish for himself and his closest childhood friend, Maru. She's been eyeball-deep in her inventions from the day they first met, and he's always been the one to take care of her when she forgets to take care of herself.

If there's one thing he loves more than the ocean, it's Maru. He's loved her for as long as he can even remember, and has been patiently waiting for her to recognize his love in return. When he learned that she was leaving for Queen Nyx's kingdom to take a permanent position as Head Engineer there, he decided that it was now or never to tell her how he feels.

"W-well if you're going, I'm coming with you!" he insisted. "I... I can't not be with you, Maru."

Maru was taken aback by his sudden confession, but after quickly processing what he said, she smiled, and wrung him in with her tail.

"Okay. Then we go together, and we stay together, like it should always be," she cooed. "And you'll still get to surf near the Water flight territory!"

Namiko huffed a sigh of relief. "Thank Icewarden. I would have suffered a little if I couldn't surf!"
