If she wasn't in the workshop, Maru can be found at her desk, scribbling away equations to figure out how to make her latest robots work. To date, Maru has created over 7,000 robots, each able to fulfill different tasks -- from harvesting plants to feeding familiars and even defending dens. Her creations are spread across different lands in Sornieth, each sealed with her signature three-claw scratch of approval.

Maru is a hard worker (more like workaholic) who rarely knows when to take a break. She'd rather spend her time tightening the bolts on one of her works or reorganizing her materials stashed in her den than curled up in her bed taking a nice, and long overdue, nap.

If it weren't for her childhood friend, Namiko, Maru would never get a blink of rest. Namiko is always on her case to get to bed, and when she has trouble sleeping at night, he stays beside her and sings her to sleep. During the day, he stops by her workshop to bring her food and force her to take a break if she hasn't had one yet (which she most likely hasn't).

Over the years, Maru has grown to love Namiko's company, and even fall in love with him. She's appreciative for all the ways he shows his care for her and grateful for his support. With Namiko, Maru has learned to believe that love is real and has time in her crowded schedule. No one, even Maru, thought she would fall in love with a dragon that was the polar opposite of her, but their Yin and Yang relationship creates a perfect balance and harmony between their seemingly unlikely bond.
