Biography
Moonwatcher, the Flower Linguist
Place of work: The Carnival, Divination Tents
♪♫Metric - Help I'm Alive♪♫
Flower linguist does not mean she talks to her flowers. Moonwatcher simply knows what meanings any given plant can convey, and often gives advice to young dragons in love. But she also provides flowery ornaments for dragons who seek motivation, courage, luck, or anything else.

On her journey through Sornieth, this Pearlcatcher found a home at the Carnival of the Dann-j'noss Clan. Moonwatcher had always loved flower language and seeing the different variants of divination and esoteric arts that found a home amongst the divination tents at the Carnival, she wanted to join in.
Sadly, she was not particularly gifted in caring for plant life - in fact, a cactus she'd once owned had been particularly memorable, as it had died within a week. Thankfully, she found help in the garden of Dianthus' teashop, which also grew a majority of the Clans' plant-based foods. Back then, it was Ahyi who sold her flowers, but recently, FightnFlight have taken over that duty. The Aberrations skills are better suited to caring specifically for flowers, which is why they work together with Moonwatcher a lot. Some of the flowers do sell at the stall outside the teashop, but Moonwatcher's position at the Carnival gives her a better shot at selling the flowers. Another recent supplier of hers is Khonsu, though it is a hesitant partnership for now. The Nightcaller Abberation gets a bad name, but personally, she likes him a lot - most likely due to her propensity for enjoying dark and mysterious things alongside horror and all things nefarious. Most dragons are surprised by that passion of hers when she tells them. Either way, Khonsu sells her flowers of his own creation, buds that bloom only in the darkest places and often need a disclaimer before being bought. Some of them are poisonous and/or venomous. In line with her interest in all things dark, monstrous and eldritch, is her curiosity for the dark alleys between the tents and buildings of the Carnival. There are two dragons - or dragon-adjacent beings? - living in there that spark her interest whenever she manages to catch a glimpse of them. She also gets along alright with her neighbour Uwasa, but she's better friends with the Roadie/Guard of the Carnival, a lone Mirror named Collwen. He has had a crush on her for ages, but he tends to crush on a lot of drakainas and drakes, and he accepts that she is not interested, and in fact, spoken for. This brings us to her mate Pixel, the Carnival's mechanic. There is not much to say here, other than that they love each other dearly, Moonwatcher is the more forward dragon in the relationship, despite being easily half her wife's size. Plus, she handles social interactions far better than Pixel and tends to take the lead there, while Pixel makes sure they are safe and have a roof over their head. |
