Biography
Sky came to the Guardian Draco clan after word got around of the clan's lair. He originally came with his familiar, Matilda, to meet the new dragons- he didn't expect to stay and settle down as one of the clan's adventurers.
He made fast friends with his fellow shadow dragon, Mika, who he is apprenticing under. Sky isn't sure about being a full alchemist like her, but he enjoys the perks of being Guardian Draco's head alchemist's apprentice- such as familiars that are less combat pets and more... actual pets.
The Crooked Hatchet rolled her eyes. "You're the apprentice of an alchemist who writes down everything. You really thought she wouldn't start giving you copies of her notes?"-Matilda, slightly amused by her dragon's awe.

"???"
The living crystal had entered the large hollowed out tree, the inner bark carved away bit by bit to become a living book case. Mika was usually working with May (read: Mika shows May something interesting, and May begs her not to throw it into the cauldron) in the center of the space, but as the apprentice approached he couldn't see the tundra nor her autumn dryad familiar. He attempted to call out- he had been summoned here after all. His voice echoed in the tree and that was when he noticed just how silent it was. Not quiet, but silent. the absence of sound. The guardian became unnerved and on guard. Matilda hummed in her sheath at his side. a third call- a warning that if he did not receive an answer from Mika, May, or anyone at all, that he would begin searching for them. There was a soft squishing sound from the cauldron. Hesitantly, claws glowing orange with the alchemical magic his teacher had taught him. Peering into stained yet maintained vessel he wasn't expecting a shivering, frightened, blob to peer up at him. It opened it's mouth and made the same squishing sound. The dragon dropped his guard, both concerned and wary of the creature. Sky softly called out to it, head darting to look around the room before he reached in and scooped it up. "Yes, get that disgusting mess all over your paws. You better clean them before you wield me or so help me, Sky..." Matilda prated on as the ooze began to calm down. with a frown he asked, hoping he was wrong "Mika?". the ooze didn't seem to react so he gave a sigh of relief. Mika had NOT transformed herself into this ooze. A terrifying second thought -was it May?- entered his mind, but he was cut off by the sound of frantic claws hitting dully against the rock hard dirt of the lab's floor.
It was his master and her familiar. She was very happy he had introduced himself to the Residue. When Sky demanded an explanation the tundra stared at him confused, but then began riffling though her "data". with a startled "ah ha!" she apologized- the alchemist was asked to drop Rex off at the bus stop for his camping trip, and she had forgotten she summoned him. It made sense. She may be the most intelligent tundra he knew -SnowShadow was still too silent for him to really understand- but tundra still have memory issues. With a understanding nod he followed her over to her desk as she rambled about Rex needing to take a break and he offered his off hand agreements. Mika lifted up several papers and instinctively Sky raised to his haunches to grasp them, as he was still holding the Residue. "Those are my notes on your new friend!" friend? "He was very cheerful when he emerged and Baldwin says they're a common alcemical accident. They're very easy to take care of." It took Sky a few moments and a glance though the notes to realize was she was doing. "This is my new familiar..." The tundra turned to him, shadowy eyes glinting with mischief. she stared at him with a smile and nodded. He had mentioned having Matilda was less like a pet and more of a very talkative friend, and he had wanted a pet for a while. with a smile of his own he bids her good bye and tucks the notes away, leaving the lab with his new pet. it was going to take some time, but he was sure he would grow as close to the little thing as he had to Matilda. and maybe-

"If you think i'm going to be buddies with that thing you've got another thing coming..." the hatchet grumbled.
so... maybe not be friends with the little critter, but at least he would have a new companion.=====+(+)+=====
