Biography

Akribyn

On a routine hunting trip in the shadow territory, Dreadmurk and Arataki came across a very deep pool of water. It almost didn't look like water at first because of the forest seeming to grow unnaturally to cover it. They seemed drawn to the pool, feeling as if something was watching them. Having experience with strange and otherworldly creatures, they left an offering near the water to appease whatever creature they had alerted, and quickly moved on.

However, the one who was watching them was not a creature, but a dragon, though she was almost unrecognizable from the amount of aquatic flora on her body. Curious, she inspected the item they left behind, and was overjoyed to find that it was a trinket found in the Tsunami Flats. Akribyn tracked Arataki and Dreadmurk down for 11 days, hoping that they would lead her to the ocean, before finding herself back at their territory in the Blacksand Annex. Devastated, she made herself known and begged for water in a voice that sounded like windchimes and scared the hatchlings.

Thinking that they would be cursed if they didn't, Dreadmurk and Arataki smuggled her into the Grotto, and she became somewhat of a cryptid legend among the unknowing clan members.

Akribyn stays underwater, feeding on fish, kelp, and whatever other plants she can find in the Grotto, only surfacing occasionally when her mirror needs to be cleaned. Arataki goes down to the Grotto on occasion to catch a glimpse of her, but has never succeeded. Mazori has detected a new magical presence in the Grotto, but hasn't been able to find a way to get to the bottom of the Grotto to see what it is.
