Biography

Shine is the clan's tattoo artist. Using arcane secrets known to a select few, they masterfully apply beautiful designs to their clanmates' hides. They came to Windfall Clan fully grown, seeking new canvases to ply her trade. She spoke little of where she came from and the matriarchs did not press for details. What was important to them was that she knew her craft well and that she was eager to find her niche in their community. She first met her mate Plume when applying her new 'skin', not many moons after arriving. Usually reserved and quiet and wrapped up in her work, Plume drew her into conversation as Shine wove her design into Plume's scales. She spoke haltingly at first, but Plume managed to coax her into speaking more freely as time passed. Shine spoke of her passion for her trade, her love of the arts, and places she liked to draw inspiration from. By the time Plume's new artwork had been woven into her scales, Shine almost regretted that their time was over. To Shine's delight, Plume continued to visit her after their session and eventually asked to court her. The courtship was brief and they soon moved in together. Now as bonded mates, Shine and Plume have a happy life together. Other important dragons in Shine's life include Reef and Revyn. Reef is the clan's art keeper and has very similar interests as Shine. They were fast friends. Revyn is one of the librarians of the clan and often sees Shine's comings and goings at the library. Shine is a diligent patron, never once have they turned a book in late. Revyn's and Shine's friendship was slower to bloom due to Shine's shyness and Revyn's standoffish nature. But Revyn was determined to know all the library's regular patrons personally. Revyn commissioning a tattoo from Shine was what eventually cemented their friendship. |
