Arrhabaeus had half his face covered. "I've done enough, brother, and now I'm cast out. I don't blame you for failing to protect me, it's my own fault. But it'll catch up to us. So long, and perhaps we'll see again. Say hello to any future siblings for me."

"We won't forget you. I hope we cross paths again." Hermokrates pushed the words past the growing lump in his throat.

His heart pounded in his chest as his brother ran through the doors. Who knows where he was off to. He would have to tell Auxentius. May Equinox never find them out.
