Starting Lair: Porto | Mudy #280076

Cabot's egg was scavenged by his father Severo during one of his training sessions. It was by Modesta's encouragement that they decided to hatch his egg. For many weeks he was happy to enjoy his new family life but he always felt a need to travel the world, maybe learn more about his birth parents or maybe just a bit more about himself.

His family was very reluctant to see him go since he was still very young but the Navigator Guild members greatly encouraged him. They gave him a task of meeting other clans and learning how they managed trading between allied clans. Who knows? Maybe Cabot would establish some alliances along his journey.

Accommodating Lair: Asgard | SilverOtter #179717

Cabot wasn't sure the reason to end up in Asgard. He didn't seem as if he stepping through one reality to another. Yet, it would seem he traversed through one of Yggdrasil's many portals accidentally. His first encounter was with the god of thunder, Thor, as the powerful dragon god of old landed in front of him with lightning sparking off his very being. He was ready to defend his land. Cabot had to convince he meant no harm, and he didn't know how he got to Asgard. The dragon meant no disrespect. Thor watched him before he decided to let Cabot stay within Asgard; however, he was not allowed in Valhalla. The Guardian agreed as he journeyed through Asgard with a smile on his face.

The dragon made a name for himself in the realm. He was funny, smiled all the time and he knew the greatest stories. Cabot was a great storyteller, and the pups enjoyed listening to him speak of far away lands and magical beyond their comprehension. These stories caused the ire of Loki as he knew that no magic was more powerful than Yggdrasil. The Banecale simply ignored him. It didn't bother him. He made a lot of friends while staying in Asgard. He thought the vampires were the coolest. Vlad was the only one that seemed appreciative of the fact. Constantin ignored him; the dragon was beneath him. It didn't bother Cabot. He knew every dragon in the realm held a quirk, and he liked to discover what those quirks -- were.

Though, one day, he was walking through a meadow of golden yellow flowers. He thought about giving some to Sundance. The Banescale had caught his eye. She seemed as if she would appreciate the flowers. It was a shame he didn't have the courage to speak to her -- as Yggdrasil released him from Asgard. He found himself back in his own realm. Downhearted, he began to travel once again. Cabot would never forget Asgard. It was a beautiful and mystical place, and he was saddened nobody would believe him that such a place existed.

Accommodating Lair: Blue Winter Exalt Rescue | xXBlueWinterXx #528438

Cabot arrived early in the morning here, he had been sailing over the see, west, towards The Pine Isle. Though the island's lack of a stationary location made it difficult to find.

He was greeted by a young Bogsneak named Onyx, and quickly welcomed into the ranks of the islanders. They all rushed him out of the cold, suiting him in winter gear that she promised he could take as a memento of his stay here.

He quickly grew fond of the island, feeling like an islander after only a few weeks. He would miss the countless animals and the bubbly energy of the young dragonets, but he was eager to continue on his journey across the world. As he packed up his things, he gently folded his clothes, not wanting to take more from the islanders, despite Onyx promising him he could. As he set sail, he could hear dragons cheering him on, despite it being 3:00 AM. He yelled back at them as he sailed away from the island and the island sailed away from him. He felt like a different dragon after the warmth of the dragons there and the magic of the island wilderness. He was sad to go, but happy to continue on his adventure

Accommodating Lair: Torquil's Clan | Sinjin #450186

Cabot blinked up at the faces of the dragons staring down at him in concern.

"All you alright, handsome?" Riverat, a pirate like Bogsneak, asked.

Cabot narrowed his eyes in confusion. Why did he look so big?

Riverat and his comrade in arms Lytra, a flower colored Skydancer, had trained him to level nine. Teasing and flirting as he gained strength and confidence. But while they could easily take him down with ability and ruthlessness, in sized they were both much smaller than he, as a Guardian, was. And yet they looked much bigger from where he lay.

And why was he on the floor?

"You were helping North clean one of her store rooms." A soft voice drew his eyes. Torquil, a green Fae and leader of this clan, watched him calmly. "You dropped a bottle. There was a big boom and when the smoke cleared. Well." He paused as if at a loss, "North bring the looking glass."

A green Spiral dressed in gold, with the help of West, her green Imperial mate, pushed a large glass over.

Cabot stood. And looked. For one second he saw the reflection he expected. Then he blinked. A Pearlcatcher stood looking back? He pulled in a shocked breath.

"You look gorgeous." Riverat nudged Lytra, "Doesn't he, Ly?"

"Yes Rat, he does. Don't worry Cabot, Torquil has seen to all the problems. He's convinced Thanatos to allow you to have one of his pearls. Mekara will help place your soul into it. And Rat and I will train you one more level to help you learn your new body. You'll be fine. We promise."

A Pearlcatcher decked in pearls with a beautiful Fae, who seemed to be more than just a dragon, leaning against his horn, stepped forward. Thanatos held out a pearl. Cabot took it slowly, still in shock. Mekara fluttered over and placing her tiny paw between his eyes. A pulse of heat and pressure spread through him and warmed the pearl in his claws.

"There. A Pearlcather true. Look at your image once more and say goodbye to the Guardian. You won't see him again." Mekara might have smiled.

Cabot turned and looked.

Again for a second his image was what he use to be. The Guardian seemed to smile and nod. Then the Pearlcatcher, he now was, was all he saw.

Accommodating Lair: Another Universe (?) | CactusElixir #388544

"Is he alright?"
"I don't detect any physical injuries. That said, I'm also not a medical professional of any kind, despite you continuously ignoring my words."
"You think he's a dimension hopper? Did we see him hop?"
"I don't believe the definition of hopping includes spontaneous falling from the sky."
"Our definition doesn't! But what if his hopping is our falling?"
"That... is a surprisingly valid point."
Cabot groaned against the splitting headache as he blinked himself awake, squinting at the bright daylight streaming by. His awakening was met with a pair of glowing green eyes peering at him from behind an intricately designed metal mask. The mask was on fire. The dragon wearing it wasn't.
"Yo, good morning!"
The other dragon shuffled back, allowing the pearlcatcher to push himself upright and get his bearing. He was feeling.... weirdly disoriented, like his entire being was out of place. Considering that all around himself Cabot could see giant mushrooms, flying teapots and wisps of purple smoke forming into arrows, he might very well be.
"Hello." He attempted to ignore the bizarre, hallucination-like scenery and focus on the one who woke him up. She was a coatl, with bright red and blue wings, her aflame mask complemented by multiple green silks and a peculiar amulet. Beside her, an imperial in a white lab coat wrapped in red roses towered, his wings awkwardly pressed together to fit into the small forest clearing.
"Where... am I?" Cabot shook his head, then instinctively felt around for his pearl. As unfamiliar as the feeling was at first when he only first acquired it, now his bond with it was a source of comfort. And with his memory hazy, surroundings unfamiliar and two dragons bigger than himself standing by, he needed some reassurance.
"No idea!" The coatl cheerfully supplied. "We hopped here not so long ago as well. Which universe are you from?"
"...universe?" Cabot shifted in place. Did she mean something like Asgard, from before? Was he in another realm? How? He didn't remember what happened to get him here, and he doubted his ship could travel the multiverse. "I'm from Sornieth, if it would be a correct name for... universe hopping purposes?"
"There is a lot of Sornieth." The imperial, silent until this moment, noted. His voice was impassive, but his eyes were full of held back curiosity. "Yet you are in luck. There is a portal to it - all of it - exactly over there." He stretched his arm - bandaged, claws weighted down by ruby rings, - to point at what looked like a pinetree growing upside down. Cabot wasn't sure he wanted to think about all the questions its biology-defining existence prompted in his mind. He did think about something else, though.
"Is it a stable portal?" The duo before him blinked in synchronized confusion, and he clarified. "Will it still be here after some time?"
"Um, probably?" The coatl poked the tree with the tip of her tail. It let out a few sparks in reaction, and she ruffled her feathers. "A day, for certain. Unless one of those giant brooms eats it."
Cabot started to open his mouth to ask, but then snapped it shut. He mused some more, then spoke again. "Would you mind if I stayed here for a bit?" The pearlcatcher inquired carefully, not sure if the two dragons will have any objections to his interruption.
"Nah, the more the merrier." The coatl twirled in place, stars danglimg from her cloak giving off a pleasant chiming sound. "We can explore this world together!"

And explore this world they did, until the green hue of the daylight sky shifted into deep maroon of the night. Alongside his two companions, Cabot wandered through canyons filled with singing glass, crossed swamp full of marshmallow islands, flew up into space to watch the comets with cat ears pass by. There even was a cave filled with luminescent snow that reminded him of The Pine Isle, only more so because it was surrounded by the portal pines, as the coatl called them.
His new acquaintances, for all of their weird habits and speaking patterns, seemed nice. The coatl was very energetic and as eager to wander around as Cabot himself was; she readily shared her knowledge of this world, allowing the pearlcatcher to fill his journal with multiple notes about things he never thought could exist, and even mentioned other universes she saw. All the while the imperial followed them calmly and quietly, like a stoic presence of undetermined science-oriented profession. Which he claimed he didn't have.
It was a fascinating day. And though it felt like this world was an ideal place to explore - endless, chaotic, uncharted - even a traveller needs a home, and Cabot didn't want to risk getting stuck here, in another entire universe. So he said his goodbyes to the duo, thanking them for their assistance. And before he left, the coatl gave him a cloak - she said that it will help him should Cabot ever hop universes again, - and the imperial made him a flower crown, as well as a few other matching arrangements. And then, as they waved, he jumped into the pine - which was an interesting method of transportation, - and in a blink, was back at his ship.

...He never managed to remember their names.
