Biography
Binder of life, bringer of decay. Flowers are blooming, carcasses are rotting. Trees all sprout, mushrooms all decompose. She is plant, she is beast. You are alive, and you might as well be dead.
This strange dragon, if she can be called a dragon, watches with her empty eyes, and if you find her stalking you, it's too late to run. Mushrooms and ferns grow on her, making her decay, making her thrive. Despite most representatives decorating themselves in common, cheery nature aesthetics, the foliage on her seems to come from deep within the jungle where hardly any dragon goes and survives. Her behavior is quite primal, but she is extremely intelligent. Some believe her to be undead, yet she says she's alive. She says she is the whole cycle of nature, of both life and death, of both animal and plant. Who knows what put her in this state, nonetheless she's strangely happy about her form. No one has seen her eyes, but she still watching, observing, stalking.
Being found from deep within the forest, where the warm light hides from the leaves, she easily adapted to the cold. The bindings on her face keep her skull on, as mushrooms and bugs have rotted it to bare bone. Yarrow, forest ferns, dandelions, mushrooms, and many other plants and specimens grow on her. Bugs thrive off the plants and occasional bite of her, between bees and mosquitoes and dragonflies and spiders and more. Sometimes you can see rodents, small cats, even bats and other creatures coming out of the ferns. Some say she is just a whole jungle on one imperial, and it might be true. Honestly, no one knows.
The grouped wandered through the trees, slashing vines, snapping at nearby sounds. The male imperial lead the pack as if they knew the place, but really they were lost. All three of them were lost. And the jungle around them was quiet. Too quiet. Until they heard screaming and screeching, and turned back to see the nocturne was being attack by this monstrous form of plant and flesh they had somehow missed. Before they could respond, the giant creature ran off and disappeared into the woods.
There they stood, scared but angered. The beast came around again, but the guardian fended it off, pinning it by the neck. They could see the imperial under the ferns now, and their blue nocturne under her wing. They saw this imperial as a a strong ally, and brought her back to the icy lands with their catches. There she reigns, controlling the decaying yet standing trees above and watching, observing, stalking the lost travelers.
