Capable of turning into smoke and back again at will, Varjo is the perfect spy. Even the smallest of cracks allows them entry to wherever they please and they are able to reach any location undetected. They claim to hear the Shadowbinder's voice in the dead of the night and will act true to her bidding.

Varjo spent most of their life as one of the secret members of a group called the Shadow Loyalists located within a clan at the Eternal Eye Lighthouse. They were the eyes of the group, knowing everything that went on in the entire clan. They orchestrated a coup, that would leave the entire clan in Shadow Loyalist hands. Their plan had worked too, until Derechasmar, the clan's old leader and a fierce personality, found out about the coup and swiftly took action.

Unfortunately for everyone, the Guardian was too maddened to realize only the Shadow Loyalists were at fault; he attacked whoever got in his way, thinking they were all working against him and his dear clan. Many were left injured or even dead and the long-standing clan broke down in shambles alike to the lighthouse they had called home.

Their former clan gone, Varjo was homeless for a time. As willed by their deity, they made their way to the Lanternlea Port, where they now collect valuable intelligence for the Shadowbinder.
