Mishka

Mishka had never quite been content with herself. Whenever she caught her reflection, it never quite looked right to her - like something was missing, and had been replaced with something very, very different.

She figured it out after she grew up and saw travelers with a new gene, one that left them patterned with fireflies. That was what was wrong - that was the gene she should have been born with. Firefly, not Smoke.

It took time, but eventually Mishka found a traveler who helped her change her genes. Once she had, she left home and never looked back - she became a traveler herself, eventually settling into the Sunbeam Ruins with a new clan.

For now, she's an assistant in the Berrywine, helping Syrcoot out when there's a big meeting between factions.
