Marel was born into the Pox Valley Clan and has lived his whole life here. Once he grew older, he took it upon himself to fill a gaping niche in the flight's personnel: a librarian! He can often be found with his nose in a book, and has to frequently be literally spooked out of literary focus. He is as protective as a Guardian towards the clan's growing collection of tomes; a job made difficult by dragons like Samira. "The Wildclaw is always oozing with some kind of drool or sullied by furs! She has no place contaminating this sanctum!"
After an encounter with a ghost in his youth, he sought to overcome his fear through study, and grew to have a remarkable appreciation for the supernatural. He loves reading thrillers and supernatural horror in particular. He can recommend plenty of selections on the occult and ghosts of all sorts. When he dives into a new scary story, he always cuddles closely with his mate, Tailova, who comforts him through each tale.
