As a bit of a germophobe, it's amazing that Qi decided to specialize in Geoengineering and terraforming. Dirt has plenty of germs! But according to the scientist, it's nothing that can't be eliminated by decontamination. Every single experiment is followed by excruciating rituals that scrub her clean of any and all possible contaminates. The procedures have only increased in length after the accidental exposure of REDACTED and the creation of Slither.

She spends the majority of her time in the green house, aerating her plants and making sure they're edible. The rest is spent in the lab working with soil samples and teaching Slither how to communicate. It's frustrating for her, as she feels rather guilty about accidentally creating life but not being able to handle the result.
