Mistlight

Teenage daughters. As Mistlight enters her adolescence, Hessonite and Mystique find themselves conflicting over their daughter's future. Light herself isn't sure if her path leads toward the cauldron or the battlefield or something else, but right now she's dealing with her growing body, as her caiman familiar tends to be sprawled on her back, using the hard plate of periwinkle scales between her wings as a warm sleeping place. Always with her too is the cauldron-born spaniel dog her mother made her before she was hatched.

Like many of the other adults, Mistlight has dressed herself, eschewing both her mother's alchemist dress and gear and her father's next to nothing but scars and the family heirloom sword, Mistlight wears draping guise and cloaks and a unicorn tail her father found in Redrock Cove.

Most curious right now, Light finds herself very curious over the tiny baby Pearlcatcher hatched to their clan's ruling family. Like her, the baby is a child of a lone nest and Light feels a kinship with someone else who knows no siblings. As she watches the bond between her father and her aunt and uncle. Why was she born alone?
