he was born with no scales, skinned from head to tail, to a friendly arcane clan.

crystalspine reaches proved to be an unwelcoming environment for such a fragile dragon, who would constantly wound himself on the sharp rocks and hard ground of the area. his native clan offered to the waterfall dwellers to take him in and care for him; the soft earth and clement temperatures would be kinder to his body and would help him flourish, so to speak. he was accepted with open arms and cared for until he could tend to his own wounds and function without harming himself too much.

his personal proximity to wounds has made him the clan's healer, and his extensive knowledge of medicinal plants and his constant curiosity for experimentation makes him excellent at treating all of the clan's pains, from bruises to broken bones. the sickly's life has improved immensely since his arrival in the clan and his presence is a soothing balm on the older dragons' days, knowing they will be cared for.

he's been scarcer as of late, hiding away in his cavern with his mate, coming outside only when his talents are needed, but staying no longer. he's lost his propensity for bedside manner in favor of spending all of his waking hours by her side; some say he's blinded by new love, but others suspect a more nefarious plan at work, especially since his old bruises and scars have started reappearing and reopening.

he says he's still got his health, however.
