She was raised to rule, and she eagerly grabbed a hold of that destiny with both paws.
It is a serious task, and one that is exceptionally daunting for any other dragon (she's sure), but she isn't intimidated by the thought of taking over her father's vast legacy in the slightest. She knows how to take care of the clan, as large and complex as it is, and she'll do anything to keep it safe and secure...yes, even if that means she has to do some exceptionally underhanded and nasty things to do so. But the clan takes precedence over some foolish notions of “honor”, and she shows it in the times she does have to engage in combat—in a fight, there's only winning or dying, and she doesn't want to die or let some foolish unworthy outsider make any of her future subjects die, either.
Isn't that understandable enough?
After all, their lands are designed to weed out the unfit and the weak, and the last thing her clan will ever be is weak, if she has anything to say about it.
