Setesh

Named for the setting sun, Setesh is considered the patron of disorder, storms, violence and foreigners. He is a dark figure met with misunderstanding, as, while he can bring disorder, storms, and violence, he can deploy them where they are needed, such as a storm where there has been famine, empowering violence to the side of his choosing in war, and disorder to corrupt governments and bureaucracies. Essentially he keeps the balance of these things, and it is for this he is worshiped.

Most of this is misconception from those that have seen this dragon and been intimidated by his dark visage. He is mostly a solitary dragon that enjoys the evening and storms, and this is where the confusion arouse. He keeps to himself, and for a long time his biggest struggle was with a Xolo in the river he lived nearby. He would attempt to eat the Mudpuppies, Golden Reefprinces, and Leucistic and Nightrage Axolotls/young xolos he would find, but she would always rise from the water and pull them back in. He would watch her with bemusement and never had the heart to become violent about the ordeal. He now returns to the river every day, and the Xolo adores him. She found a set of Moonscale Shoulder Guards, which made her think of the moon in the sky at dusk, and so of him. She gifted them to him on his 97th consecutive, peaceful visit.

Having always been drawn to the beauty of darkness, he had his eye on another Skydancer called Ulyette for quite sometime, unawares all the while that a brightly colored female always had her eye on him. He finally did take notice of this other once her appearance had changed, and she had a certain dark presence about her. But she was cursed, and he too was affected when he went to her to get to know her. He became fixated with his former thoughts of Ulyette instead, who he would never have dared invest in before, knowing that they would never be together.

He began spending the majority of his time plotting ways that he and Ulyette could be together, and finally settled on tricking her into believing that he was her brother, Mithril. He would steal Mithril's discarded feathers and scales, hoarding them in an attempt to mask his scent. He would listen to the twins talk for hours in an attempt to learn Mithril's voice, and style of speaking. When he finally believed that he was ready, he went to Ulyette's lair very late on a cloudy, moonless night. His deception was a success, but he was soon found out. He isn't sure even now if he let this happen, hoping she would know that it was him, and not her brother.

He continues to pursue the relationship, bending over backwards and jumping through hoops for her approval, but he persists to hope that if he is dedicated in the relationship, that someday she will like him for himself. He has deluded himself into believing that the relationship is not cursed.
