Funny story time!

One day I was having some slow internet and was kinda bored, so I logged onto FR like normal. I'd been waiting for the theme week to come out for a while since theyd basically skipped a week for all the maintenances, but then I saw it. I clicked it, looked above the post, and realized with a start there were no page numbers.
I'd never made first page before! The best I'd ever gotten was fourth. It was unbelievable! I could barely believe it myself as I quickly scrolled down and put a simple "C!" For the fourth post.
I grabbed my three dragons, unconsciously holding my breath as I posted them one by one with a little bit of lore. You can see by that last bit that I was excited XD
I tried to pick out three nice dergs, that had lots of lore or apparel or looked really nice. Unfortunately, it was the Nocturne share week and I hadn't invested a lot of time into the nocs I had, but I put Trains last since he was by far the best looking.

I waited for a while, hoping signs would start showing... Their like count going up or people saying how nice they looked. None of that happened, except the fact that Train's likes went up daily.
I waited for a while, pretty much over it, until my friend Scales shot me a comment: At first, I wasn't sure what she'd meant. I figured she'd seen him on the front page of that post and was congratulating me. I replied: I logged off for a while, going onto my wolvden, finally beating the Ginso tree in "Ori and the Blind Forest", all that good stuff.
Once I logged back on, the first thing I noticed was the new theme week. I clicked it and read since it looked like a topic I might like, "Lair Defense". Ooh, I get to share my coli dragons! I thought excitedly, since my warrior dragons had some of the most developed lore from being in roleplays and I was super proud of them.
However, while I was reading the first post, this caught my eye...

Posted by Aequorin on 12/21 for the Nocturne featured dragon~ At first I was shocked. My dragon, featured? This was such an honor! Two huge honors in a row?? My brain could hardly handle it.
But then I got confused. The people featured tended to have the first post from getting the ping... So why hadn't I? I'd been on when it'd been posted...
I looked through my pings quickly, but there was nothing there except for a few hatchery pings I was saving.
That's when I realized...

I featured my coli dragons on the fourteenth page. I was a bit upset since, again, I'm very proud of my coli dergs and I would've wanted them shown off way more then this stupid nocturne who didn't even have any real lore plans yet.
But after sharing the event with my friends, and making a "We all make mistakes, besides it was pretty funny" comment to Aequorin, I couldn't stop laughing.

Since he has been shared a couple times now, I know a few people are gonna inevitably make their way onto his page and read this. For those who do, thanks for reading and I hope this ironic story helped make you smile and have comfort in the fact that we all have bad luck sometimes :)
