"Oh good, you're here. Pass me that wrench will you?"

Aksaja is Lorcan's first Mate and Clan Matriarch. While Lorcan is concerned mostly with organizing the hunting and gathering of the clan, as well as finding appropriate building materials, she takes care of the homestead. Under her care the simple Mesa in which they dug out their first cave has transformed into a veritable palace, designed to give every dragon that resides there a comfortable living space. It is her dream to one day turn their lair into a true paradise. Something that others will point to as a wonder of the lightning lands. She knows that once this vision is accomplished she will have her true charge. Her destiny is to guard the gates of paradise.

Air conditioning for the tundras, irrigation channels for the herbivores, underground tunnels to the endless sea for the pescatarians, lavish indoor pools and gardens, long winding passageways and large open chambers, she's had a hand in building it all. At first she had thought Lorcan might be her fated charge. The one she was supposed to protect until the end of her days. She realized quickly that Lorcan was only the gateway to her true calling, and she will defend this lair to her dying breath, and all who reside within it. Still she feels if not love then a strong affection for him and despite his surly and sometimes cold nature she has no doubts he feels the same way.

Aksaja is diligent, patient, and easy going. While Lorcan is hesitant to share his magnificent lair with too many others, he cedes control of who stays and who goes to her in most cases. Troublemakers may be exiled or sent to clan loadstar for safekeeping. She has a fondness for artists and craftsmen. Above all she wants paradise to be beautiful and she knows this is not something she could accomplish on her own.
