[ Cynder ] she/her [relationship with Malachite]

Cynder was apart of the Colony as she was brought in to live there with her father. She developed a love of science from books her dad would bring her from being out on convoys, the young wildclaw learning all she could about the world and its elements. One day her dad went out on a convoy and didn't return- word spreading quick about how it had been destroyed by an explosion. Cynder knew her dad better than to be bested by an explosion and, while escaping the Colony was nothing to scoff at- she had her dad to find. She word hard to plot her escape, doing it late in the night during a shift change of the guards before she found herself alone in the wastes. That was something she couldn't have prepared herself for, and she found herself nearly losing her life to the mere wildlife that roamed outside the walls of the Colony she was used to- but was saved by Monarch, who claimed themself to work with the Resistance who worked against Citadel. She wondered if her dad would be there, asking to see, and Monarch taking her there- but blindfolded, as they didn't entirely trust her story of no longer being apart of the Colony. Finding her father not there left Cynder in a rut of not being sure where to find him, but she found out from the residents there that Zach had ordered the destruction of a convoy on the day her dad left, by a wildclaw who had many eyes over her body. Her name was Malachite, who for a while hid the fact that she had Cynder living in her room in secret. She promised to help her in the wastes, find her dad, they could do it together. It was discovered eventually that she was hiding within the Resistance, and it brought a lot of drama to it- but despite Pilot being worried for his daughter's safety, the sight of seeing her distraught over the attempt of getting Cynder kicked out had him instead vouching for the wildclaw. Stating he had been housing her knowingly and that she was nothing but kind and would be no trouble, even if it wasn't true. Cynder finds herself now living with Pilot, who still doesn't really trust her, but lets her stay given how much Malachite loves her. She hopes that one day she will find her dad- but currently also enjoys how her life is much nicer now than it ever has been. |
