Biography

Redrin
She/They

Theme Song
Electric Daisy Violin - Lindsey Stirling
Redrin was only an egg when she got kidnapped by Dragons of a nomadic criminal organization known as The Midnight Hour, and the leader was Chrodawn: a Ridgeback who's goal was to steal precious artifacts of power, and things that can no longer be found normally. Chrodawn, knowing those two dragons were once Imperials, wanted to steal their only child because they knew the baby would have some unusual powers. but this would require testing.

Because of that, Chrodawn had to find something that is literally impossible to find anymore: an Imperial Breed Scroll.

And yet they found one. How?

They dug.

They dug deep into ancient temples found below the area where the Shadow and Light Domains meet, so deep that the meaning of "deep" actually begins to deteriorate. The scroll was found in a long abandoned temple that didn't worship any of the elemental Deities, but rather, The Shade: a literal ELDRITCH ABOMINATION that wanted to take over Sornieth. Now that Chrodawn has that Scroll, they continued with the plan, hoping things can go smoothly... but they screwed it up. Because Chrodawn lacked something mildly important when it comes to things like this: patience. The Egg would simply not hatch anytime soon, so they were impatient enough to drill a hole into the egg, and insert the magic of the scroll along with "Mechanically Enhanced DNA Samples" inside the egg, and put a bandage on after.

They thought this would maybe speed up the hatching since new "DNA" was being added to the newly developing dragon inside the egg, Nope. Instead it sent an Arcane shock wave around the area, and revealed their secret location which was being hidden from the World, which meant Protective Forces can find them.

Panicking, Chrodawn took the egg, which was going to hatch somewhat soon, and left on a rainy night, abandoning all their former members to get captured, but the egg fell from their grip, and fell down a river that led to the ocean, not to be seen again. They lost their key to getting what they want, and disappeared into the night.

Morning arose, and a couple dragons who were walking along the beach of an unusually large island noticed a tiny Arcane egg washed up on the shore, pulsating and eager to hatch. They took it back to their Village, told the local Medic what they found, and made sure the egg was in good health. Luckily it was, and it was gonna hatch! They gathered around, eager to see what was gonna emerge from that egg, and..

A Fae. With the antlers and tail of an Imperial, and Primal Arcane eyes.

So even though they don't know where she came from, or what she was, she got welcomed into the town and grew up there. Doing deliveries, alchemy, and practicing her magic.
The reason Redrin was given an Imperial Scroll was because Chrodawn wanted to tap into her true magical abilities. Her parents were powerful elemental guardians before their murder.

Well, Chrodawn was in a sense, stalking the couple. They knew that whatever child they had would have unusual magic, but they also knew that because that the child, being a plentiful breed, would mean her magic would be "locked", unable to handle all the hidden Imperial level magic from their parent's original breeds.

Doing what we already know as "giving the Imperial Scroll to the Egg" did kinda.. help?

But it was really horrifying when it comes to the fact that Chrodawn was doing this to complete their project.

Chrodawn was creating an artificial Emperor. Experimenting on dragons, mostly Imperials, and turning them into monstrosities with the Mechanical DNA in failed attempts to make an Emperor.

They wanted to turn Redrin into an Imperial so that they could kill her and fuse her with the developing Emperor, and the massive amount of magical energy from Redrin would make the Emperor nigh impossible to stop, and Chrodawn could take over all of Sornieth with it.
Static.

That's all she's known her entire life. The sound of static. It's like a calming song in the back of her mind, accompanying her wherever she goes. It's her home. It's what she's become comfortable with.

"..dri..."

The whisper in the static is barely noticeable at first. It's soft. It's sweet. It's alluring. But was it even real? It could have just been a different tone. And so, Redrin doesn't pay it any mind. It's just static. That's all she's ever known. It's her home.

"Red..."

That was definitely her name- at least, the first part of it. Was the static speaking to her now? Was that even possible? It can't be possible- static is just that. Static. It doesn't speak.

"Redrin..."

Now it has her attention. That was definitely a voice speaking to her. But a voice that she'd never heard, never experienced. It... wasn't a real voice. But it was. But it wasn't. And yet, she paid attention to it.

"Yes..?"

"Excellent. I am heard. Do not fear, darling."

Don't fear a disembodied voice in the static? Easier said than done. She wasn't scared. Why would she be scared? There's a voice in the static. She was scared.

"I'm... I'm not."

"You are. It is fine. Come find me. We have more in common than you realize."

This voice wasn't just in the static? This voice was real? It couldn't be. Nothing in the static is real. But this was.

"You doubt. No fear. I will be patient, darling."

How could she say no? She should say no. She needed to say no.

"... Alright. I'm on my way."

Additional Information:

Redrin's Parents were Imperials at the start, but Chrodawn was out for their powers. So they went into hiding by changing their genes and breeds. Both had two eggs, and were eventually found and maliciously killed by Chrodawn. One egg was stolen, and the other was hidden safely.

Isek and Edorage were strong dragons of water magic, despite their birth elements. This could potentially be what caused Redrin's instinctive fascination with the Ocean.

Chrodawn added "cybernetic" DNA to Redrin when she was still an embryo in her egg. And this caused her genetics to not only go haywire from the Imperial Scroll that was ALSO added to the Embryo, but it caused the very cells in her body to be metallic and mechanical as much as they are organic. Luckily for her and for everyone else, her personality is as organic as one can be.

Since she is a Fae at birth and she's an Arcane dragon, her magic would be powerful to begin with as she is in her natural element. But since Imperials are massive, and most likely contains massive amounts of magic within them, the imperial magic part of her messed up DNA overlays her Arcane Fae magic, rendering her as extremely powerful.

Breed Scrolls from unique locations might have a "pull" on where they came from. And as the Imperial Scroll incorrectly used on Redrin is from an eldritch shrine deep below the arcane surface, she could be in some deep water.

The only part of her body that is truly organic is her digestive system, but even that seems modified.

Her half metallic body and mechanical skeleton allows for wires to be plugged into outlets she can manifest.

When underwater, her lungs keep what air she was breathing recycled, so she can stay underwater all she wants.

In the unusual circumstance that she might have her body damaged to where her mechanical skeleton shows, she's fine. Trust me.

Her Imp Horns and her head Fae frills somehow are connected to each other. No she does not have whiskers.

She did not discover she was a cyborg till she was about 11.
