Biography

Who knew a child born to such humble parents could be so vain? Cassiopeia has her mother's great beauty, but unlike her mother, she is without the curse of the nightmares that comes with her seeing. Already, she thought herself better than others as a child, destined for something better than the peaceful life her parents lived. She wanted to become a princess, a queen, be doted upon loyally by many servants and live lavishly in the attention of many. Worried by this, her parents allowed her to set out to live those dreams when she was old enough- Cassiopeia went to Lightning territory first, where a great empire stood. She worked as a dancer for some time, gaining admiration from the peasantry- A reputation for beauty, but not one for good graces. Stubborn and firm in her wants, she refused every marriage proposal from someone of common blood- Until, finally, one of the many princess of the land decided to wed her. Why, the Skydancer was overjoyed- It was everything she ever wanted!
She was soon to change her mind.
Soon, she was cast away into the mud of the many streets- Her beauty, which she had relied on, had failed her. Disgraced and distraught, Cassiopeia fled here, learning never to rely so hard on shallow things- Now, she wears a mask and heavy cloak, distraught over the parents she cast away and the humble life she took for granted. She wonders if still, people will love her if they knew of the past, who she was then....
