There’s no lock in the world that can keep Mélie from taking something shiny if she wants it; although it’s usually less about want and more about need. Life as a runaway is like that. Not that she lets that get her down; Mélie has a snarky comment about everything, no one is safe from her biting wit (especially not the nerds she had to save from the English). Less of an isolationist than her brother, Mélie actually found herself quite liking Amicia and Lucas and (god help her) Hugo (he’s just really cute). So now her jabs mostly conceal actual fondness. Weird. The action to Arthur’s caution, Mélie isn’t afraid to make snap decisions and jump into things too big for her. Probably why she’s so fond of breaking into (and back out of) prisons. It’s not because she has anything to prove. Survival’s hard enough without bringing ego into it.
