Ouroboros

Ouroboros is just your average dragon, or at least that's what everyone thinks. He grew up with a bad family, in a bad place, and had no choice but to participate in the illegal businesses his family were partners with. Eventually, he ran away, deciding that he wouldn't let anyone control him, the only belonging he took with him was a ring with a bright green gem that was given to him by his loving grandmother who had passed away. It wasn't long before he realized that it would be very hard to get by on his own, but was not going to give up that easily and worked any odd jobs he could get. Luckily, because of his previous illegal trades experience, he had a strong gut, sharp mind and reliable self defense abilities, so he was able to make a somewhat steady wage to live off of.

After a few years, Ouroboros had grown accustomed to his new, much happier life. He learned how to work in all sorts of trades, from carpentry to weaving, but his favorite job was when the hatchling caretakers would hire him to put on shows for young dragons. He got very into character whenever he did this, waving his claws around as the puts on them made dramatic gestures, and using the most absurdly funny voices he could muster. Soon enough his shows became popular enough that he'd do one once a week and got tips from the older dragons who liked to listen to the stories.

Eventually, he got a proper job as a night guard, patrolling around the dark market square at night. It paid well and kept him busy. Despite his job hours, he always got up on time to get to do his puppet shows for the hatchlings. It really warmed Ouroboros' heart, as he wanted these little dragons to grow up happy, unlike he did. Despite all this, he was still rather introverted. He just preferred to be on his own. His familiar, a Vulpine Lamp, was something he found when patrolling. Non of the merchants recognized it as their wares, so he took it and later found out it was actually a familiar.

He met his mate, Pollux, when he was finishing off his patrolling, as the merchants were setting up their stalls. He saw the breathtaking Skydancer from a distance, approaching the stall with the best insects for sale. Considering he was also headed to that stall to grab dinner, he got to talking with him, and it ended with them meeting at ungodly hours of the night and just talking about their interests. It was like a love story, plain and simple, something Ouroboros didn't think was possible for him. They ended up moving in together into his mate's lair.

He loves it there, and cuddling with his mate on heavenly satin and silk blankets when he finishes his shifts is the highlight of his days. Ouroboros is always fascinated with how Pollux talks about the stars, and is very in love with how passionate his mate is about his line of work and study. Their familiars also get along great, which is especially nice, and he often finds both trying to snuggle up against his as best as a Which Waychunk and a Vulpine Lamp can, and he seems to always find himself absentmindedly petting them, more than content with his life.
