Auburn

Auburn was born on what some would call the perfect day. Early autumn, the leaves were just beginning to change, and the winds were just cool enough to be pleasant. All seemed perfect to set him up far success. And he was successful, at first. For the first part of his life, he was praised for his beautiful coloring, and sharp wit. However, when he was older, his mother was exalted, and his father soon followed. He was told this was a wonderful thing. That they were part of something bigger now, and one day he would follow.

Auburn, however, was scared, and self-preservation took over the mental training he had been a part of since birth. One early morning, almost as perfect as his birthday, he left his seemingly perfect home to seek safety and, hopefully, eventually, happiness.

After some time, that happiness came in the form of a beautiful dragon named Esmerelda. His stories of the world fascinated her and after some time, she asked to come adventuring with him. Around the same time, he realized he was fascinated by her, and wanted to spend all his time with her. Now, they love each other greatly, and couldn't imagine life without each other
