As a priest serving the Plaguebringer, Sheer spends their days seeking and systematically destroying anything and anyone involved with necromancy. Extending life in an effort to circumvent death and raising those who have already failed to survive is antithetical to everything they stand for. That does not mean they have no compassion or willingness to help others, however. The lone wolf mentality only serves to weed out the weak of mind. That philosophy has led to something of a partnership between Sheer and Amosis - Scarlet Fever's resident gravekeeper and something of a mystery to the rest of the clan. There's an odd draw between the two, but Sheer isn't quite sure what it is... Sheer remembers little of their time as a hatchling. Their immune system was weak to start, and couldn't hold up to their clan's proximity to the Wyrmwound. Their clan's healers tried to help, but there was little to be done. They could only wait as Sheer grew, recovering only to fall days later. It was as a bout of fever reached a pitch that they received an epiphany - one that offered revelations and meanings coated in a breathless and babbling madness Sheer would end up seeking out again later in life. Their fur began to become discolored, some patches falling out entirely. What regrew was darkened and wiry. Before it could all turn, the fever miraculously broke, and Sheer awakened with that all consuming knowledge dimmed but still burning in their mind. They recovered, and it wasn't long before they set out from their birth clan to embark on a mission. To eradicate those who scorned their Deity's word. That mission led them west, where rumor of an Arcane-based cult was stirring. |
