Nightcloud

"Good rest?"

In your sleep, you did not notice the she-dragon settle beside you. But she was there now, and you shift sleepily; Already, questions were starting to flood your brain but you did not voice them.

"Yeah, it was." You stretch your wings; the body now seems to obey your every wish and you couldn't imagine living in a human body ever again.

"Let's go to the Heatrocks." The dragon looks older than the others, though not by much.

The face is familiar, but it takes you a moment to remember her name: Nightcloud, the creator of this clan, a Wise One. You follow her out. By now you are aware that being invited anywhere by a Wise One is a great honor, one the Apprentices and Spirited Ones alike would catch a thousand prey for. But you are an Almighty Mentor; you'll have daily interactions with the Wise Ones for advice.

"You're coming a long way," Nightcloud comments lightly as she billows open her wings and you follow suit. "I look forward to continuing to watch you."

"So... do you have the final say in everything that goes on in this clan?" You inquire, hurrying into the sky with her. "Since you created it?"

Nightcloud considers it for a moment. "The Almighty Mentors often come to me and Darkclaw for a final opinion, but the decision is up to them."

You nod; the air is whooshing through your scales pleasantly as Nightcloud continues.

"For now, however, the clan is quiet and at peace, and the thing I look forward to most is settling down on the Heatrocks for a simple rest."
