Subspecies Lore Forest Fires are a subspecies born from resilience and persistence, and the will to live. Their story started out not as dragons, but as forest spirits. They were once Ents and Nymphs protecting their ancient forest from being consumed by shade remnants, but they knew their magic was not enough to terminate the corruption. They pleaded for help to the gods to no avail, until Flamecaller bestowed upon them the gift of her conflagration. They could use her powers to destroy The Shade, but it'd take their lives with them. Only as a last resort did they use her powers, and in respect and admiration of their strength and resilience, Flamecaller reincarnated them as dragons with unique patterns and colors. The subspecies is divided into two groups: Forest Fires are an Orange-Fire primary with a Jungle-Camo secondary and tertiary. Heart Of The Forest are Jungle-Camo primary with Orange-Fire secondary and tertiary. (Read more) Subspecies Behavior The Forest Fires are a subspecies that truly show that perseverance and tenacity reward the warrior that can endure their hardships. They are humble guardians who serve as a clan’s first responders to study and fight against The Shade’s Remnants, in hopes of preventing another tragedy. Due to their cause, Forest Fires are very often skilled explorers and travelers, as they must journey their flight’s territories in search of any indication of the existence of Shade Remnants nearby. Subspecies Careers Many Forest Fires keep a closely guarded record of their travels, In the event that something happens to them, they can pass their studies of The Shade over to the next in line. They keep extensive notes and documentation of their excursion, usually kept in a journal or book the Forest Fire keeps on them at all times. However, not all create journals. Others create maps, complete with high risk areas and tricks to navigate the area. Others teach their children and allies specialized magic to be used for destroying the shade. Forest Fires and Heart of the Forest tend to travel together, one documenting and the other fighting Shade remnants. |
