As if being the illegitimate son of a renowned warrior clan chief wasn't bad enough, Atameri was a great disappointment just by the fact he was born a Fae. Even with the advantage of having his father's unusually strong scales, he was still frail as a hatchling and struggled to learn combat at the same pace as his clutchmates. How his strength was disregarded in the past, and sometimes even now, is a hot trigger topic, and he still holds a lot of resentment over it, which makes him defensive and quick to aggravation when brought into question or conversation. He has been repeatedly offered help in changing his breed, but he is adamant that being a Fae isn't a death sentence and has always been determined to overcome his inherent weaknesses.
He's a very rough individual, absolutely no nonsense and quick to scold others through his cryptic metaphors that more often than not resonate somewhere deep in the target, whether or not they fully understand what he's trying to say... His scales usually have chips in them and his sword is almost always dulled when he returns to the clan lair from how often he gets into fights. Atameri is incredibly diligent in how he maintains his armor and weapon, and he does it all himself, as he dislikes other people handling his equipment and he knows he could probably do it better anyways.
Due to his survivalist nature he isn't keen on having to support other dragons or on sharing his possessions and supplies, but occasionally he will take pity on the slighted or helpless, however it's a one time deal for most. He has almost no tolerance for willful helplessness or ignorance and those not willing to learn.
Though he is the earth ambassador for the Nexus, and he is deeply attuned to his element, he's passively critical of the Earthshaker and his followers. The idea of peace is something he cannot rationalize in the kind of world they live in, and he feels strongly about dwelling on things that have already happened, seeing it as just a waste of energy and time. His opinions about Dragonhome are more passionate, however. After spending most of his time there, he is absolutely sick of digging and mining. Quarrys this and ruins that, if he's asked to transport any more 'artifacts' he's sure he's going to blow a gasket. He doesn't dislike the earth he's linked to, but if he never sees a solid stone mountain again it wouldn't be any scales off his snout.
