Family
Sylvana's parents are Starscape and Mango. Starscape, being raised by Robin and Starling of the Clan of North Winds, was fierce and unrelenting, and taught Sylvana to be the same. Mango was grimly honest and tough as nails, and Sylvana inherited the same. But Mango and Starscape weren't always there for her, as the clan was still fairly young, and there was a lot of work being poorly delegated to different dragons. Melusina and Coal, the founders of the clan, took over her care when her parents couldn't. From that couple, she learned very contrasting values to what she was taught by her mom and dad. Melusina raised her to be kind and understanding, and Coal taught her to be fair and just. These contrasting views shaped her personality. She has 7 children with Pomelo, only one of which stayed with the clan.

Occupation
Sylvana grew up in a time when dragons were frantically pressured to take up jobs in the clan to take the load off of the founders of the clan - Shade, Giza, Kofu, Mith, Copper, Suture, Coal, Melusina, Orca and Peacock. In addition to that, she had an incredible gift for the druidic arts. She could sense the basic emotions of the wildlife around her, and could manipulate trees, vines, and plants. She was instantly pressured to take up an important position to lead the clan. She was extremely stressed out by the pressure, but she enjoyed the job, and decided to take it up. Sylvana makes many decisions for the clan, and puts forth ideas to make sure that the clan is functioning properly, has enough food, is coping with changes in the weather and migration patterns, and has good relationships with other clans. She monitors every other guild circle. Most of all, she maintains the delicate balance between industry and nature, and uses her gift to make the Arboreal Grove a lush, verdant place to live.

Backstory
Out of the glowing, verdant green egg crept a young guardian hatchling. Her body was a pale green, and her wings were a deeper, mossy green, and all of them were decorated by a darker green that disrupted the color and divided it into hexes. Her eyes glowered with the deepest green of forest shadows, and the entire forest seem to awaken with her clawsteps. From the start it was clear Sylvana was different, and in a time when the clan was near collapsing, she seemed like a gift from the Gladekeeper. Sylvana, however, didn't notice anything different about herself. To her, she felt normal. But that wasn't what everyone else saw. To everyone else, she wasn't a dragon but rather a blessing, and she was instantly forced to start practicing, honing her gift. Pomelo was another dragon born around the same time. Though he lacked her druidic gift, he also had an interest in plants, and he too faced a lot of expectations from his parents and the clan. The two would escape work and spend time in the gardens together. However, she saw how she took on his responsibilities and expectations headlong, never once doubting or regretting his career decision. As she had more than a minor crush on him, she decided to do the same and show him that she too could handle what was being placed upon her shoulders. When she formed the Circle of Druids, Pomelo was the first dragon that came to her mind, and he helped her deal with the otherwise overwhelming workload. Ultimately, though, the roots of the forest run deep in her blood, and she cares deeply about her job.

Personality
Sylvana is a sweet, accepting, open-minded dragon who serves as somewhat of a parent to the clan. However, she has an edge about her, and can be harsh with people when she has to, and sometimes even when she doesn't have to. She is honest above all else, believing that lies will never do the clan well. It takes a lot for her to admit that she is too cruel or too bluntly honest. Most of her outbursts come from the stress of her job, which she has a lot of trouble coping with. However, she doesn't want to disappoint the clan, and so she never does anything to change her schedule. She also doesn't believe in moping about your problems, and thinks that you should just dust yourself off and tackle it head on. All in all, however, Sylvana's somewhat harsh upbringing and tough personality let her make the hard decisions for the clan and ensures she never mopes about her problems, and her sweet, gentle side allows her to be a kind, compassionate caretaker to the clan.

Relationships
Sylvana is close with Jodugar, the shy, misunderstood herbalist on the Circle of Druids. She also very tight with her mate, Pomelo, who helped her through hard times in the beginning of her career. She cares for Mistral, but does not respect him. One of the people she looks up to is Oko, the healer, who faces the challenges of her job unfazed, but Oko thinks of her as a leader and not a friend. She can't stand Circus, being the constantly unmanageable, thieving dragon that he is, but her closest friend is Zephyr, who helps her with her job and whiles away the hours chatting with her.
