Biography
The clan mother. Despite her small size, Seraphim works hard to protect the clan's integrity and honor. As the clan mother, Seraphim's main task is to direct the other dragons into the life-style and profession she thinks they would excel the best at: Nursery Mother, Sooth-Sayer, Guard, Speaker, Scribe, Shaman, Messenger, or Artist. Of course there are other choices that a dragon may take, but Seraphim categorizes anything else with those paths in life. She is also tasked with the challenge of bestowing upon the clan the teachings of Lord Jashin through sermons and studies. Seraphim is very precise about how she handles things and the clan's teachings. She can even be harsh and deliver swift punishment if some dragon fails to meet her expectations and criteria, Meirion has gotten more ear-fulls than most dragons would care to count though he is too fast and strong to be lashed at.
Seraphim views the dragons of the clan as family rather than random dragons brought together. Thus, the clan often refer to each other as and call themselves a family. This belief has tied them strongly together, making sure no one dragon is left behind or excluded. Hatchlings born into the clan often have trouble leaving to join or seeing other clan's who do not adopt this mentality. On the note, Seraphim is tasked with finding homes for hatchlings that Lord Jashin does not mark, which happens much, much, much more often than not. She takes them to a clan she deems suitable within the first three days of their hatching, so they will not remember the family or the temple.
Their clan and temple must remain untraceable, a ghost among tombstones. Seraphim constantly reminds every dragon that they must all consciously be aware not to speak of the other members of the family or the temple's location. If a dragon is to join their temple; they will join out of their own free will after hearing a family member asks if they know about and preach about Lord Jashin, or Lord Jashin himself will gift Ikiyro with a vision and have him collect them. Obviously, no outsiders to the clan are allowed in.
In spite of all this harshness, Seraphim is a genuinely caring dragon. She loves her family more than she can ever hope to express, going out if her way to check up on them nightly and help them should they need it— even some of the less savory members such as Zan and Meirion. She has a deep understanding and patience for all the indoctrined members, each of which who have a tortured and bitter past before joining the temple. If any of the family are having doubts or troubles of any sorts, Seraphim is there to listen.
