Biography
πΎππππππππ π²ππππππ
(Steadfast General); he/him
On one fateful day, a solitary traveling soldier, retired early from the bloody throes of battle, met a small dragon seemingly out alone in the claws of the wild. He gave the small creature, ambling along the trail, a bemused tilt of the head. Upon being asked on what she was doing out in the wilderness of the Arcanist's land, the frail but determined thing said she was going to found a new clan of acceptance and safety. Having certainly experienced a lack of such peacefulness, the soldier thought it was a good idea, and agreed to assist.
It wasn't long before Pad met Sketch's Spring Sphinx--a lioness of a creature who helped the little dragon remain safe and fed by hunting down nutritious prey and battling threats. They and Pad nearly made battle themselves, before Sketch clarified. Having adjusted to the emotional distance that war calls for, Pad hadn't quite considered a familiar before; eventually, after helping Sketch find a place to found the clan land, Pad came across a young owlcat traumatized and fearful after seemingly lost its family, and decided to adopt it like a hatchling. Lieutenant grew up on Pad's tales of battle, and enjoys playful spars in the safety of his den.
Pad rules the clan with the same just and lawful eye that any ideal police officer would. A firmer founder than Sketch, he won't allow any delinquency in his clan, but is fairly reasonable with punishment if one neither proves unwilling to change nor riles him up. Similarly, he raises his children and the clan's orphaned hatchlings with the same love and care as an endearing military general. Though he does treat them well enough, many children end up disliking him due to his insistence on discipline and tendency to raise his voice. Upon maturing, however, some come around on respecting Pad. Fortunately, over the years, Pad has learned to be gentler and kinder, like a knife repurposed for cooking rather than stabbing; under all that rough coat of scales and four-eyed glower remains a humble heart of gold.
