Lore is an unusual dragon. His connection to the arcane was obvious from birth, though he quickly tired of being "special" in his adolescence. His birth clan heaped expectations on him. Lore wanted to be like everyone else - studying the stars and the mysteries of magic - but he was constantly pushed to cast ever-more-powerful spells, to scry even farther than anyone else, to produce insights that no other dragon had found before.

There is only so far you can push someone before you end up pushing them away. By adulthood, all that Lore wanted was to escape. Escape he did, into a world that wasn't Sornieth.

This world was nothing more than a maze of bookshelves, lit by strange glowing orbs that let off no heat. They were not the electric lights of Lightning dragons, nor the soft colors of magelights. There was no sign of windows, or doors leading out of the library maze. Just endless books full of knowledge, writing themselves as new discoveries were made.

For a time, Lore made his home here, traveling to still more worlds via his portals. However, solitude drove him back to Sornieth. Lore eventually found himself a clan with lesser expectations, lead by a Fae named Aquaria. They didn't even want him to be an ambassador - they just wanted him to teach what he knew. Lore still serves in that capacity for the Lightningbound, and now he has a student: Spinel.


Worlds that Lore has Discovered:

- The Library: The first world Lore ever discovered. The Library is an endless stretch of bookshelves, filled to the brim with books. Lore believes that the Draconic section only comprises about 15% of the library, and that the rest are in languages unknown to dragons. Who wrote them? He's not sure.

- The Observatory: A beautiful tower sits on a misty mountaintop, unspoiled land stretching as far as the eye can see. Lore often scries from here. The landscape changes frequently, apparently basing itself off of Lore's inner mood. Some days, the Observatory overlooks fields of flowers. Other days, it is little more than a barren stretch of alpine slope.

- The Ruins: a barren world full of partially-destroyed structures, coated with ash as the world is with dirt. Lore has only been here twice: once just before he returned to Sornieth, and again during the Calamity, when he used his portals to trap the attacking Emperor here.

- The Architecture: a world full of technology. Robots continually build on the structure. Lore has never discovered the bedrock of the Architecture. He has also avoided visiting it much, afraid of what Ignarox might use it's secrets for.

- The Placid Beach: A world of sand and sea that stretches out into the horizon with glasslike smoothness. This is the newest world that Lore has discovered. He appears to only be able to access it when portaling with Spinel, making him wonder if the world is somehow connected to the dragon.
